Briggs v Vitali

Postby freddydoesdallas » Thu Jul 29, 2010 5:26 pm

What a disgrace but Vitali is not the only one wasting everyones time in that division. Although the article on the bbc is quite funny as it tries its best to make it sound like a good fight by referring to 1998 and early 2000!!

Vitali v Briggs :|
Wlad v Sam Peters :|
Haye v Harrison :|

I have more interest in Chisora v Sexton and if any other domestic heavy showdowns are made i'd be more interested in them. I definitely will not be paying for Haye Harrison on PPV

Same old Klitschko rubbish. I'm now 100% convinced its a case of them dodging Haye, rather than the other way around. Pure shocking match up.

It's all getting silly now, If Haye is fighting Audley, why can't they just announce it. Even tho now Povetkin has pulled out of his fight with Wlad, I was half expecting it to be because he may of done a deal with Haye. But this doesn't seem to be the case either.

As for Vitali v Briggs, there is no point in this fight what so ever. Can't see how this fight will generate any income or interest to the paying public.

Yep, they may as well announce it now as its going to need a big push to sell it to a lot of fans.

Regarding the Vitali fight, there was a good article about this in last months boxing monthly. Basically, the people who go to these fights aren't actually interested in boxing, they just want to see Vitali or Wlad. You'll be lucky if there's 2 or 3 undercard fights but you will be treated to a german 'comic' and german x factor losers! I doubt they would want to see Haye fight either of them as it would actually be a contest!

I've seen some footage of Klitschko and Briggs squaring off during the WBC weekend in Cardiff. seems amicable and not the fireworks expected.

Seems like Briggs ain't in very good shape though so better get on that treadmill!!

I'm with you on that No Mas. I'm only going to attend fights that are meaningful and warranted, like the Magnificent 7

Money is tight here to but can't AFFORD to kiss this one!! lol.

i still can't believe that The Klitschko's are fighting Briggs and Peters. its a shambles, and the worse thing is that 50,000 Germans will pay to see each contest.

it is shocking that 50,000 will buy into any of these fights. I can't even pretend to get excited about this one, right jabs for a few rounds until the opponent is bored stiff then eventually swing a right hand so that the fella can finally take a dignified exit

Its just mental. Can you imagine how many Germans would follow a 'decent' and exciting boxer instead of the Klitschko brothers?

They seem passionate enough about them though.
